• 12/21/2012: MEGACOM office will be opened from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM on Monday, December 24th and will be closed on December 25th for the Christmas Day. 
• 12/11/2012: The sales tax rate in Los Angeles County, CA will be increased by 0.25% effective January 1st, 2013.  The new effective sales tax rate will be 9.00%.
• 11/05/2012: Director of the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) approved a decrease in the eWaste fee rates, effective January 1, 2013.  The new rates, as of January 1, 2013, are as follows:
  
  Screen Size - Measured Diagonally:
  More than 4 inches, less than 15 inches - $3.00
  15 inches or more, less than 35 inches - $4.00
  35 inches or more - $5.00
• 06/01/2012: HP has announced a price increase for the inkjet supplies (cartridges and print heads) and paper stocks (photo value packs and professional papers) in the range of 3% to 12% effective June 1st.

• 01/06/2012: Happy New Year!  MEGACOM has celebrated our 19th Year Anniversary on 01/15/2012. We thank all of our clients for their continued supports and trust and look forward to providing more "values" and "benefits" for our clients in upcoming years!
  
• 12/31/2011: Hewlett Packard Announces a Price Increase on Original HP LaserJet Printer Cartridges effective January 1st, 2012.
  
  HP will increase the Cartridge prices of its popular Line of Business Laser Printers and Multifunction Printers (MFPs), the HP LaserJet by approximately 2%. But more importantly HP will increase list prices on twenty-seven (27) select HP legacy toner cartridges from 12-17%. Legacy Toner Cartridges are supplies used in “Legacy” Printer Models such as the ageing HP LaserJet 4000, 4100, Color LaserJet 4600, etc.
  
  While the announced increase does not include ink, HP is increasing the price on select parts, drums, and maintenance kits. According to HP, these price increases are in response to global economic conditions, including currency volatility.
  
• 05/03/2011: Effective July 1, 2011, MEGACOM has been incorporated and will now operate under WOOSHIN, Inc. dba MEGACOM.
  
• 06/02/2011: Effective July 1, 2011, California Statewide Sales and Use Tax Rate to decrease by 1%.  For Los Angeles County which applies to purchases made from MEGACOM, the effective tax rate will become 8.75%.
  
• 01/01/2011: Effective January 1, 2011, California eRecycling Fee for all Covered Electronic Devices (CEDs) has been decreased as follows:

  More than 4 inches, less than 15 inches - $6.00
  15 inches or more, less than 35 inches - $8.00
  35 inches or more - $10.00
  
• 05/11/2010: MEGACOM has fulfilled all the requirements (including all certification tests from Microsoft) to be officially certified as Microsoft Small Business Specialist although we had been already installing/deploying Small Business Server/Essential Business Server solutions (for Mid-Size businesses) for many of our clients for several years!
  
• 11/18/2009: MEGACOM has joined Lenovo's Authorized Reseller Program to provide our clients with more choice selections and options when considering desktop / notebook / server systems.
  
• 08/01/2009: Starting August 1st, MEGACOM's business hour has been changed to 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.  Please make a note of this change.
